Business Breakfast: set up a Business in Malta - 25th October

The Malta Business Club is a unique training opportunity for you to meet some professionals and experts in the Maltese fiscal and market sectors.

The event is structured as follows: from 9 to 11:30 am general presentation by our consultants, coffee break, from 12pm to 2pm one to one meetings during which you will be able to clarify any doubts with our speakers.

Before the event begins, you will receive an information brochure and support material for your notes and records.

 

PROGRAMME

ORIENTATION SESSION:

 

1) INTRODUCTION OF THE BUSINESS CLUB: DENIS BORG, 09:00 - 9.20 AM.

The meeting will be opened by the Secretary General of the Maltese Italian Chamber of Commerce, who will explain the programme for the day.

 

2) INTERNATIONALISATION IN MALTA: ENRY DI GIACOMO, 09:20 - 09:40 AM.

Foreign investments in Malta are constantly increasing. The Vice Secretary of the MICC, Enry Di Giacomo,  will explain the dynamics of the internationalisation process in Malta.

 

3) REAL ESTATE INVESTMENTS: MARCO AUDINO, 9:40 - 10:00AM.

Whichever activity you want to undertake in Malta, you will need a real estate agent that helps you in the search for a commercial space, a property, or an investment. Here in Malta it is easy to fall into the wrong hands and thus, we provide you the tools in order to avoid this happening.

 

4) FORGIVABLE AND SUBSIDISED LOANS: EMMANUEL MAZZITELLI, 10:00 - 10:20 AM.

When you start a business, the initial stages are the most challenging. Emmanuel Mazzitelli will illustrate the opportunities for accessing to industrial incentives and other support measures granted by Malta Enterprise. This latter is committed to help all the investors who want to start their own business in the Maltese territory.

 

5) COMPANIES AND THE MALTESE TAX SYSTEM: RAMONA AZZOPARDI, 10:20 - 10:40 AM.

Opening a new business is never an easy task and to do it abroad could be confusing. Each activity requires different investments and company forms. During the Malta Business Club Ramona Azzopardi, tax lawyer  of the WH Partners, will explain the maltese taxation system and the opportunities to relocate to Malta

 

6) FOUNDATIONS AND ASSET MANAGEMENT: NICOLAI XUEREB, 10:40 - 11:00 AM.

The Director of NX Legal, Dr. Nicolai Xuereb, will explain how to set up a company in Malta and how the continuation of a foreign company works. Furthermore, he will illustrate the procedures for setting up private foundations.

 

7) LABOUR MARKET DYNAMICS: KENDRICK BONDIN, 11.00 - 11:20 AM.

Kendrick Bondin, the General Workers’ Union representative, will provide a framework about the regulatory aspect of the relationship between companies and workers. The reality of Malta is very distinct from the Italian one. This is why it is very useful to have an overview about not only the management of both part time and full time workers, but also the functioning of the workers’ union.

8) ONE TO ONE MEETINGS: 12.00 -  2.00 PM.

You will be able to talk in private with our consultants about your future internationalisation process.
